For an environmental laboratory in Germany, a LC-MS/MS system was implemented and made operational. In addition a strategy to develop a number of commercially attractive methods and modernizing some of the existing methods was formulated in a research plan. One of the key applications was elaborated in more detail into a standard operating procedure (SOP).
