By order of a client a statistical model has been developed by means of which the degradation profiles of pesticides in vegetables and fruit can be predicted. The model was positively received and it will be further developed and extended under client management using their own data sets.

On a basis of secrecy, consultations were held with a Dutch instrument firm. The objective was potential exploitation of the so-called SCREAM model. The firm Ducares and KAIN are about to enter into a 4-year partnership agreement with the aim of developing and deploying high-value toxicological analysis methods for forensic investigation on a commercial basis. The primary motivation for this partnership is the ample experience and expertise of Mr Kerkdijk, which he acquired in his former position as head of the NFI toxicological laboratory in Rijswijk.
